She extended her congratulations to all the skippers and their team members, the organizers - including the General Manager of ‘Publie Voile’ – the main organizer the event, Regis Elhaouel, other partners - including the chairperson of the Seychelles Yachting Association, Alain Alcindor, as well as the STB staff.
She noted that the event is definitely a way to promote Seychelles as an ideal sailing destination.
“At the heart of the Seychelles Regatta - sailing competition is the aim to offer a balance of a rigorous sailing competition and tourism by encouraging a discovery of the Seychelles islands. The itinerary has been designed to showcase some specificities of the Seychelles, including some of the private islands and I hope that the videographers among you have been able to take great footage to further strengthen the credentials of sailing in the Seychelles archipelago,” said Mrs. Francis.
She also congratulated all the participants and expressed hope that they would be back to take part in future competitions or for a holiday with their families.
The General Manager of ‘Publie Voile’, Regis Elhaouel, expressed his profound gratitude to all the sponsors, partners and his team who contributed towards the event’s success.
He also extended his sincere appreciation towards the STB Chief Executive and her team for their active collaboration in bringing a new momentum to this event.
“I am amazed at the warm welcome we have received everywhere on all the Islands visited, I believe that this edition is a resounding success because of the close collaboration between Publi Voile and the STB,” said Mr Elhaouel.
