The Seychelles Tourism Board office in the UK took to the road from March 13 to 15, 2018 as it hosted another Seychelles Discovered roadshow.
Led by the STB Director for UK and Ireland, Christine Vel, the team also comprising of Marketing Executive, Eloise Vidot, travelled to the cities of Winchester, Gerrards Cross and Norwich.
The Seychelles Discovered Roadshow is held twice annually. Some 105 agents attended this year’s first edition of the roadshow and they were all very interested to learn about the destination.
To note that few of them have been to Seychelles, although they are already actively selling the destination. Hence, this was the perfect opportunity to impart the agents with as much information about the Seychelles islands so that they can better sell the destination.
The local partners that joined STB on the three-city roadshow were: Coco de Mer hotel & Black Parrot suites, Denis Island, CaranaBeach & Indian Ocean Lodge, Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove, The H Resort Beau Vallon Beach, Maia & Paradise Sun, the Hilton Seychelles hotels, Enchanted Island Resort and airline partner Etihad Airways.
A networking cocktail was organised at the start of the evening, in each city, allowing the local partners to go around and chat to the UK agents before taking them on a magical journey of the amazing Seychelles islands and its products.
Some lucky winners also won a week’s holiday in the Seychelles sponsored by the various hotel partners represented.
The STB Director for UK & Ireland, Christine Vel said: “We had a great group of agents every evening who were all extremely eager to learn about the destination and the different products on offer. Upon our return to the office, we have already started to receive queries and we are confident that these will translate into some nice bookings in the near future.”
The second edition of the 2018 Seychelles Discovered roadshow will be held from October to 29 to November 1.
