Seychelles Tourism Board exhibits at National Expo by STB
On the occasion of the National Expo organised as part of activities to celebrate the anniversary of the third Republic, the Seychelles Tourism Board put up an exhibition entitled “20 years of tourism in the Third Republic”.
The exhibition celebrated the achievements and developments of this very important industry from 1993 to 2013.
Through information panels, visitors could read about the former four Ministers for Tourism who have left their mark in the tourism field: France Albert Rene (1993-2004), Simone de Commarmond (2004-2010), Joseph Belmont (2010-2012) and James Alix Michel. Information was also available on the current Minister holding the tourism portfolio, Alain St Ange.
Statistics showed an increased number in tourism arrivals and tourism beds during the past 20 years, and there were also on display the different promotional materials used by the Seychelles Tourism to market the destination.
The tourism board staff professionally manned the stand over the three days of exhibition and a special corner was also dedicated to Reunion.
“Our stand was very busy with lots of visitors throughout the three days. Our participation in the fair has been a great success,’’ said Selma Magnan of the Seychelles Tourism Board.
The tourism board stand was also graced by the presence of Miss Seychelles Agnes Gerry and 1st Princess Isha Hoareau, who left an ever lasting impression on children and adults posing for snapshots.
