Seychelles featured as honeymoon destination in Italian magazine by STB
Seychelles was recently featured in the Rome-based magazine E' Donna as a destination highly appealing to honeymooners.
The writer of the 4-page travel report on the islands, Alviero Altieri, was in Seychelles last month for a documentary, during which he covered the ‘Miss Seychelles Another World’ beauty pageant.
The magazine carries the crowning of Agnes Gerry as Miss Seychelles, with a photo of her and the two runner-up princesses, as well as another of the 2012 beauty queen Sherlyn Furneau with Tourism and Culture Minister Alain St Ange and outgoing Seychelles Tourism Board CEO Elsia Grandcourt.
The article also features Alexandro Pindilli, a Seychelles Tourism Ambassador in Milan and who also manages a modelling agency, as he presents Ms Gerry with a prize after winning the Miss Seychelles title. Mr Pindilli was one of the seven judges of the beauty contest.
Since Seychelles has started to be marketed as an events-based destination, with a lot of focus on the Seychellois people, the islands have attracted foreign media, who not only cover the events and culture but also report on the exceptional beauty of the 115 pristine islands, which boast diverse scenery, including stunning beaches and rich marine life.
