Desroches Island’s Madame Zabre Spa Retreat in Elite Traveler’s Top 101 Suites in the world
by STB

The exclusive Madame Zabre Spa Retreat at Desroches Island has been included in US-based private jet magazine Elite Traveler’s ‘Top 101 Suites in the World 2013’, alongside the Royal Suite at the InterContinental London Park Lane, The Presidential Villa at the Royal Begonia resort in Sanya, China and The Bentley Suite in the St Regis Hotel, New York.

Desroches Island’s Madame Zabre Spa Retreat

In its review of Madame Zabre Spa Retreat, the magazine, read by some of the wealthiest people in the world, writes, “Why We Love It: Hidden behind a tangle of jungle, this secluded beach home—completed last July—believes good things come in threes: Bedrooms, living rooms, plunge pools, even staff. A chef helms the Miele kitchen, a butler everything else, bar the private spa—that’s where your spa angel swoops in. Timber-and-bamboo interiors blur with plenty of outdoor lounging space for an at-one-with-nature experience.”

Named after the famous Madame Zabre beach on the island, the decadent 637 square metre retreat is the ultimate hideaway in paradise, costing €12,000 per night and offering its own team of staff dedicated to guests’ pleasure, including an expert masseuse, private chef and butler.

“Desroches Island is enthusiastic to position itself at the forefront of luxury accommodation in the Seychelles. We have responded to the needs and requirements of our distinguished guests by expertly crafting a lavish sanctuary in which guests can experience and appreciate the tranquility of the island and all that it has to offer. The creation of the Madame Zabre Spa Retreat elevates the level of accommodation being offered in the Seychelles at present and positions Desroches as being able to present the definitive luxury experience to all guests,” says Patrick Shorten, General Manager for Desroches Island.

Desroches Island serves as a retreat for captains of industry, world leaders and renowned celebrities. The island is known for its understated luxury and the enviable service and facilities that all guests staying on the island receive as standard.
