China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) another thrilling success for Seychelles

Described as one of the most professional travel annual fairs in Beijing China , China outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) was a perfect platform for Seychelles to strengthen the existed business relationship and learn more about the growing outbound tourism market.

Elsia Grandcourt Chief Executive of Seychelles Tourism Board said that Seychelles is more than ever better prepared for Asian Market.

“Response to the increasing number of Chinese visitors, Seychelles government has taken some measures to better greet the Chinese visitors. Particularly for the accommodation, the current situation today shows that there are 413 accommodation establishments in operation in Seychelles with a total of 4239 rooms or 8478 beds (figure does not include the villas on Eden Island which have been allowed to rent to visitors as tourism accommodation) which has gradually increased compared to 2 years ago” commented Elsia Grandcourt, Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board.

Seychelles participation in 2013 China Outbound, China outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) was headed by Seychelles Tourism Board Chinese Manager Jean- Luc Lai-Lam. The delegation also comprises of Senior Marketing Executive in Beijing - Mr. Li Huanhuan and the Marketing Executive based in Shanghai - Mr. Ethan Chen.

Jean –Luc Lai-lam said that Seychelles stand “deemed very popular with visits from both old and new Chinese partners from the region including those from other parts of china, which ended in many concrete discussions and corporations.”

“After nearly two years of promotional work in Beijing, you can see that Beijing Outbound Tourism Market for Seychelles is steadily increasing. Local people are now more familiar with Seychelles and many of them are putting Seychelles in their yearly travel plans. More than ever, we are getting more specific cooperation between Seychelles and our Chinese counterparts Mr. Lai-Lam said to China Network TV (CNTV).

A strong team of local trade partners: Creole Travel Services, 7 south, Mason’s Travel (Pty) Ltd, Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino and Coral Strand participated in China Outbound, China outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM).
