Seychelles Tourism Academy re-seals its working partnership with ISPC Seychelles
by STB

The Seychelles Tourism Academy and ISPC Seychelles have renewed their working partnership through the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between both parties.

The signing of this MOU between the Principal of Seychelles Tourism Academy, Flavien Joubert and the Chief Executive of ISPC Seychelles, Alfred Fourcroy, was held in a ceremony at the campus of the Seychelles Tourism Academy in the presence of Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange and partners of the Academy.

ISPC is one of Seychelles’ main hotel suppliers and wholesalers as well as a committed supporter of the island’s Tourism Academy.

In his opening remark at the signing ceremony of the MOU, Mr. Flavien Joubert said that the Seychelles Tourism Academy is trying hard to work with trade partners because according to him, without their continued support, the Academy would remain stagnant.

“Without you we cannot move forward at the pace we are doing. Today we are witnessing an example of the true partnership between private sector trade partners and the Tourism Academy. The decorations and beverages displayed before you have been fully sponsored by the ISPC Seychelles. The Seychelles Tourism Academy values this partnership and the Tourism Academy looks forward to continued support not only from ISPC, but also from other trade partners,” Flavien Joubert said.

The Principal of the Seychelles Tourism Academy also thanked the other main partners of the Academy. Special mention goes out to the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, the Seychelles Tourism Board which continues to oversee the works of the Academy, and NHRDC saying that without their support and trust in the work of the Academy, the institution would not have been able to move forward.

The Seychelles Tourism Academy and ISPC Seychelles see themselves in a partnership that commits ISPC to support any of the Academy’s initiative aimed at strengthening professionalism for the success of the tourism industry. According to ISPC Chief Executive Officer, professionalism remains the key word for success.

“Professionalism means high standards of service, and service is based on people. The role of Seychelles Tourism Academy is critical in this perspective. Our industry can only grow on the basis of well-trained and educated manpower,” Alfred Fourcroy of the ISPC Seychelles said.
