The Seychelles Tourism Board’s Tourism Attaché in Abu Dhabi, Aliette Esther, had the chance to promote and sell Seychelles to Etisalat’s 10,000 employees in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Ms Esther took part in the 6th edition of the Etisalat Travel Week roadshow from March 18 to 22. The 5-day event started in Abu Dhabi, then moved to Dubai before ending in Sharjah.
Etisalat is one of the biggest telecommunication companies in the Middle East, with a multinational workforce currently operating in over 16 countries across Asia and Africa.
Through the annual Etisalat Travel Week roadshow, Etisalat aims to give employees the opportunity to discover a wide range of destinations, to which they can travel, together with their families during the upcoming holidays and the rest of the year.
It is also an opportunity for new products to position themselves in an ever-growing competitive market like the United Arab Emirates.
STB joined forces with DNATA travel Abu Dhabi to present potential holidaymakers with some attractive and affordable holiday packages in the Seychelles.
The Seychelles Tourism Board’s Tourism Attaché in Abu Dhabi, Aliette Esther said many employees were eagerly searching for the Seychelles stand at the event.
A few of them who had already visited the Indian Ocean archipelago were excited to recount their holiday experiences, while others were looking for the best packages for a Seychelles vacation.
“Judging by the hundreds of queries received both in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I can confidently say that the event was a huge success. We are looking forward to seeing a surge in the number of visitors from this part of the world,” said Ms Esther.
“It is not the first time that I have participated in this event and the great thing about it is that you can interact with the employees who come from different parts of the world, provide them with one-to-one travel consultations and conduct spot sales appointments. And of course, the most important thing is giving exposure to the Seychelles brand,” she added.
The Etisalat Travel Week roadshow was held at the Etisalat head office in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, where a whole floor was dedicated to the many products on sale, ranging from resorts, hotels, travel insurances and holiday packages.
The Seychelles Tourism Board is looking forward to participate in similar events in the future.
