Emirates has since early February stepped up its services to Seychelles with an increase to six flights a week, thus offering the islands better connections from across its network serving over 100 cities around the world.
The extra flights, which are resulting in an increased capacity of 50% per week on each way, operate on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The Dubai-Seychelles-Dubai flights are served by an Airbus A330-200 with a three-class configuration: 12 seats in first class, 42 in business class and 177 in economy class.
Mr Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ vice-president of commercial operations, West Asia and Indian Ocean, said: “The increased frequency demonstrates our trust in the tourism industry of Seychelles. The islands constitute a fabulous tourism product and we will enhance our promotion efforts aiming to attract more tourists to this exquisite destination.”
EK 705 takes off from Terminal 3, Dubai International Airport, at 2.30am and touches down at Seychelles International Airport at 7am. EK 706 then leaves Mahe at 8.15am and arrives in Dubai at 12:45pm. Seychelles is but four and a half hours from Dubai.
Meanwhile, the Dubai-based Emirates has launched a new sales campaign on the Seychelles sector to coincide with the introduction of its additional flights.
Tickets purchased between February 15 and 25 are costing 448 Euros for economy class.
