Capricorn Restaurant is found next to the beach of Anse Kerlan, Praslin, precisely at The Islander Hotel. With its classic decors, marble flooring and colourful stained glass windows providing good ventilation and the thatched roof creating a cool and romantic ambiance.
This creole and seafood restaurant offers delicately prepared authentic dishes, such as, small whole grilled fish, roasted octopus or Patrick's style, a variety of curries simmer in fresh coconut milk, cinnamon leaves and indian species or lobsters at the best price on the island. The A La Carte menu offers good selection of choices blended with local ingredients which is our art of cuisine and cooked to the perfection of popular dishes amongst the creole world. Guests could enjoy the rarest speciality not normally found in other restaurant.
For lunch time come and join us for a beach barbecue as from 12.30 to 1400hrs taking your time to admire the beauty of this part of the island.
A romantic candle light dinner on the beach (reservation required) will make it just right for lovers or anyone wanting to discover the real taste of the island’s creole cuisine and tradition.
One could also chill out with an exotic cocktail, a cool local beer or simply a fresh fruit juice on our private beach, watching the waves or the sunset over the neighbouring islands.
Breakfast is served under the beach gazebo named “Parisienne Beach Gazebo”.
Capricorn Restaurant is the place where you can also find the famous Tropicana Ice, sorbets made only from local fruits created during 1980s by the late Mr.Deutschmann. (Ex Jessie’s Ice-cream).
Guests are welcomed between the hours of 8am to 11pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
The restaurant is also closed every Sundays and from 20th December to 3rd January annually.
